How Do I Find My New Home? |
As a client of HBAF you will use a realtor to help find your home - HBAF will work with your realtor to complete your purchase. |
There is no general answer for how long it takes. Once you find your property and get a signed contract for purchase, the process of finalizing the loan can be done as quickly as a week but more often than not it will take a little longer. Expect and plan on 3 weeks to a month, after you find your home, to close. The issues that add time to the process are things like a fragmented work history, delays in getting requested information to your loan processor, multiple addresses over the past two years, and most significantly changes in your credit status. Once you begin the process, it is imperative that you continue to pay all of your bills on time, DO NOT change jobs, DO NOT open new lines of credit (unless instructed to do so), and keep going to work. |
